Belardo Filly Records Second Stakes Win

BELARDO (IRE) (Lope de Vega) has continued his high-flying start at stud, with LULLABY MOON (GB) recording her second stakes win with a dominant victory in the G3 Prix Miesque at Chantilly on Saturday.

A winner on debut at Goodwood, LULLABY MOON now races out of the stable of Ralph Beckett and from four starts from his yard, has notched three wins – two at stakes level – and a Group Three placing.

Settling just behind the speed in the 7f contest, LULLABY MOON was quick to pick up the bridal when asked and crossed the line two lengths clear of her rivals.

The third Group winner for BELARDO, LULLABY MOON is one of ten winners from his first juvenile crop in the Northern Hemisphere. With two place-getters in New Zealand already and numerous trials performers, there is plenty to suggest it won’t be long before BELARDO lands his first Southern Hemisphere winner.

BELARDO has almost completed serving his fourth book of mares at Haunui Farm in 2020 and will have some quality 2YO’s heading to NZB’s Ready to Run Sale in November.
