Iffraaj's son Wotton Bassett Kicks off Post-Lockdown Racing in Style

Just weeks after announcing IFFRAAJ's best son, RIBCHESTER, will stand at Haunui Farm in 2020, the resumption of French racing has seen sire son WOOTTON BASSETT land a stakes double.  

3YO THE SUMMT got the ball rolling in the G3 Prix de Fontainbleu over the mile at Longchamp placing himself among the leading contenders for the G1 Poule d'Essai des Poulins - the French 2000 Guineas - in just over two weeks time.  And on Wednesday WOODED proved too strong over the 1100m sprint distance in the G3 Prix Texanita at Chantilly.

IFFRAAJ's first G1 winner, WOOTTON BASSETT has stamped himself a sire on the rise in Europe with his first crop producing Champion 3YO ALMANZOR, now at stud.

Four-time G1 winner and Champion miler of Europe at 3YO & 4YO, RIBCHESTER will touch down in New Zealand in early August to take up residence at Haunui Farm for the 2020 breeding season.  He will stand at a fee of $15,000 + GST.
